Clarence Pier was a project I worked on for CCIXR in collaboration with Aspex Gallery Portsmouth and the artist Karanjit Panesar. The artist was tasked with creating a piece of work about the people of the city and chose to do so through recreating and adapting residents stories of "Clarence Pier" into a short film. The film is being displayed at Aspex gallery until the end of 2022.

As employees of CCIXR our task was to help him create this short film using a variety of technologies that we had at our disposal. We utilised Volumetric capture, Motion Capture, Smart stage technology and virtual environments within UE4.

On this project I was the sole level designer and as such blocked out both the pier and the arcade environments using the screenplay for the film as reference.

I also worked on a number of the assets themselves as well as capturing all of the volumetric data that we utilised.

Finally I assembled the finished scenes and after consultation with the artist did any final animations and rendering in sequencer.
